BOCA is a not-for-profit organisation supporting sailing in Bermuda. BOCA holds races and other events almost year-round. BOCA races are usually longer than typical “round the cans” racing and strive to give quality racing for larger boats, however boats as small as J24‘s and J80‘s can compete in BOCA.

A note from our Commodore: Leading up to and at the recent BOCA AGM there was some discussion around possible actions that could be taken to grow BOCA and ensure it's viability going forward.

Continuing on this theme,  on Wednesday night  February 1st  at 6 pm at RBYC,  the BOCA Executive will be holding an open meeting to allow further discussion of this area.    The basis for discussion is fairly straightforward  -  How do we ensure BOCA  stays alive,  grows  and continues to be relevant to sailing in Bermuda and  what actions need to be taken to achieve these goals.  

All BOCA members and interested parties are invited to come and table their thoughts,  My mailing list mostly includes BOCA members,  which may not have all our J105 and J24 sailors included,  so please feel free to pass this information along to all interested parties as all stakeholders are invited.    It is the people who do not sail BOCA now that we need to figure out how to attract into BOCA sailing.

For the sake of planning,  I would be grateful if you could just drop me only a  quick email if you plan on attending so I can ensure we size the room appropriately.
